Rowan's class "Assembly" (play)
At Rowan's school, each class is supposed to do two plays per year. Rowan's class was off to a slow start, so they had their first play (which they call "Assembly") pretty late in the school year. The play was called "Brown Bread and Honey". In hyper-brief form: it is the story of a king (played by Laurent) who had many cooks and ate so much he became grossly fat and sick. When a young boy (played by Fritz) began sharing his small daily meal of Brown Bread and Honey, the king got better. Rowan played a knight...




Carnival, 2007
You can tell I have some free time on my hands today, can't you? I'm trying to catch up on my postings... ;-) Here are a few photos of "Carnival". Here in Germany, they celebrate Carnival, but they call it "Fasching"... (there are actually other names, but in our part of Germany, it's mostly "Fasching"...)
This year, nearly half of the boys dressed as cowboys. Not sure why this was so popular. Other popular outfits for boys were knights and pirates. Girls were almost exclusively princesses...
